Ever since herbology school I gravitated towards tea, not only as a ritual of connection with myself and nature, but also with the present moment.

It’s such a great way to take in medicine and herbal nutrients as it requires very little digestive energy to receive and assimilate into the body and tissues. You can smell and taste the herbs which is part of the medicine, and the fresher and more vital the herbs are, the more active constituents are in them and therefore being transmitted to us through the tea.

This tea is nourishing, cleansing, reparative and balancing to the entire body, especially the menstrual cycle.
It is also equally healing if you no longer menstruate as the system is still in our body and taking care of it beyond the menstrual years helps our whole system stay healthy and work in harmony.
Because of its nutritive, mineralizing, and diuretic properties, this tea is also amazing for skin health and glow.

Raspberry Leaf- High in flavanoids, vitamins C & E, potassium, magnesium, manganese, iron and zinc.
Nettle Leaf-a multivitamin in herb form. Mineralizing & diuretic. High in iron, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, vitamin k, b vitamins, and beta carotene.
Peppermint Leaf- calming nervine that aids in digestion.
Alfalfa- rich in calcium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, vitamins A, C, E, K, phytoestrogens, & flavanoids.
Oatstraw- nutritive to the nervous system on a long term basis. High in vitamins B & E, iron, manganese, zinc, calcium, and antioxidants.
Red Clover Blossoms- blood cleansing. High in calcium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, vitamin C, & niacin.
Pink Rose Petals- calming nervine, healing to the emotional heart, mood tonic. High in vitamins A, B, C, E,& K, calcium, iron, & phosphorus.

For good results and relief from the heat, drink 1-2 mugs worth per day.
Drink it cool or iced or mixed ½ & ½ with coconut water.
For a more medicinal level result for Pitta related symptoms in the summer, drink up to 32 ounces throughout the day.

Drink in the evening when you can wind down and relax. This tea has no sedative properties and won’t make you sleepy but it will calm and down regulate the nervous system in conjunction with you slowing down.
